Before signing any agreement (especially in Spain), read EVERYTHING, not just the headlines. Fine lines often contain fees, terms, and penalty interest. If there is something you don’t understand – write down a question and clarify before signing.

2. Safe Signature #2 – Ask and write down the answers

A verbal promise is not proof – ask that the promised discounts, terms, or amendments be written in the agreement or an appendix. If the document is in Spanish and you are not 100% sure, ask for a translated summary or an explanation from an independent lawyer. Better an extra 30 minutes now than months of dispute resolution later.
